Smart has paid a couple of companies to make tests in various locations in Metro Manila and a few other major cities comparing the speeds of smart bro, sun bro, weroam and globe tatoo. There are graphs like this
Its intersting to see that there are some smart bro and a few weroam results that are 3-4 mbps. I think this is because of the HSPDA+ upgrades being made by smart to their base stations.
Of course these are synthetic benchmarks and can be unreliable. I've seen results vary from 300kbps to 1.5 mbps over 3 minutes on my own smart bro share it depending on which server is used to test.
